Strengthening Multisector Technical Capacity to Respond to COVID-19 in Asia and the Pacific through tourism
Project description: Main objective of the TA is to strengthen Multisector Technical Capacity to Respond to COVID-19 in Asia and the Pacific through tourism in Cambodia, Maldives, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Tajikistan in order to build resilient, health-secure, and climate-smart tourism systems that can withstand future public health emergencies.
Activities performed: Drafted and finalized four risk communication plans for the health and tourism sector for Maldives, Cambodia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyz Republic. Outlined capacity-building programs on risk communication, including Training-of-Trainer (ToT) sessions, to enhance policymaking and implementation capacity in DMCs.
